Currently I am a senior in college studying Political Science and International Comparative Politics. Education has felt impossible because of a need to advocate - panicking in the face of a nation with long history of undecided immigration policy.
Sara Mora
Her story…
Sara Mora: Advocate, Entrepreneur, and Trailblazer
Two years into the Trump administration, Sara Mora sued the U.S. government—and won. Just four years earlier, she made headlines by declaring she was undocumented and unafraid in front of Costa Rica's president, Guillermo Solís (2014-2018).
Now, Sara is one of the most influential voices in immigrant rights. She’s a powerful speaker, poet, and entrepreneur, leading Population MIC, a company that merges narrative-building with immigrant rights advocacy in the tech world. As a student, activist, and CEO, Sara continues to shape the conversation around immigration, pushing boundaries and inspiring change on a global scale.
Sara’s story is one of resilience, courage, and an unwavering commitment to justice—a true force for change.

Meet Sara Mora: Advocate, Speaker, Media Strategist, and Change-Maker
Sara Mora is a force for change—a passionate advocate for migrant rights, a media strategist, and a powerful storyteller who uses her voice to disrupt narratives and elevate underserved communities. As the youngest advisor at CHISPA (from the creators of Tinder and Hinge(in Sara’s voice :D), Sara brings a unique perspective to tech and digital spaces, while also serving as an influential ally to global initiatives aimed at fostering social change.
A proud immigrant and activist, Sara has used her personal journey as a platform to speak out for undocumented individuals and challenge systemic injustices. Her advocacy is deeply rooted in her own experiences as an undocumented young person, and she continues to break barriers by telling compelling stories that bring visibility to immigrant struggles and triumphs. Sara has partnered with major brands like META, Instagram, L'Oreal Paris, Levi's, MTV, and the ACLU, and she's worked with organizations like the Brussels Government and the American History Museum to push forward the narrative on migration, diversity, and inclusion.
Named an awardee of The King Center's 2024 Youth Influencer Award, Sara's influence extends far beyond the digital realm. She’s a sought-after speaker at national and global events, including the Engage for Good Summit and the End Domestic Abuse Conference, where she empowers the next generation of activists and changemakers. Known for her eloquence, passion, and authenticity, Sara has inspired audiences from youth leaders to corporate executives and non-profit organizations, urging them to take meaningful action for social justice.
But Sara's work doesn’t stop at speeches and collaborations. She is also the founder of Population MIC, a company dedicated to disrupting the narrative around immigration and promoting the fight for reform in both media and politics. Through Population MIC, Sara amplifies marginalized voices, ensuring that the stories of undocumented communities are not only heard but respected.
Her career began as a community organizer during the uncertain days of DACA policy changes, where she lobbied for immigrant rights and mentored refugee students. She later co-led initiatives such as Teen Vogue’s voter registration campaign and Nuestra Belleza Latina, using her platform to engage thousands in political and social movements. In 2020, Sara’s influence grew even further when she was featured in MTV News and the HBO series, alongside working with high-profile brands like Banana Republic, Reebok, and Adobe to create campaigns that challenge stereotypes and advocate for immigrant and BIPOC communities.
Sara’s recent work includes speaking at the Youth Summit hosted by The King Center, where she engaged with young activists worldwide on the topic of nonviolent resistance, as well as keynote speaking engagements at Louisiana State University and Wisconsin’s End Domestic Abuse Conference. As a current senior studying Political Science and International Comparative Politics, Sara’s academic journey continues to fuel her commitment to advocating for systemic change through both activism and strategic media work.
Whether leading a media campaign, speaking at a global summit, or mentoring young activists, Sara Mora’s work is reshaping how we think about migration, justice, and the power of storytelling.
